The completely revised Federal Act on Data Protection (Data Protection Act, FADP) will ensure better protection of personal data in future.
The completely revised Federal Act on Data Protection (Data Protection Act, FADP) and the Data Protection Ordinance comes into force on September 1, 2023, and will ensure better protection of personal data in future. One of the goals of the new Data Protection Act (FADP) is to ensure compatibility with international law and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), adopted by the European Union in 2016. The new General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (EU GDPR), Règlement général sur la protection des données (RGPD), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which has been applicable since 25 May 2018, is a European Union regulation that standardizes the rules for processing personal data. In Switzerland and the EU, since the Cookie Directive came into force, we may only use cookies, and collect and store data if you as the user of a website have given your consent after prior clarification (opt-in principle, informed consent). With our Cookie Notice & Compliance for GDPR/CCPA for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, RGPD, GDPR), the requirements of the GDPR and other data protection laws, in particular the new data protection law in California, Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as well as the Data Protection Act (FADP) and the Data Protection Ordinance of Switzerland, are met for consent and opt-in.
